Absent: None. Excused: None. Representative McFall moved to adopt the meeting minutes from March 21, 2023. There being no objection, the motion prevailed by unanimous consent. The Chair laid HB 4132 and HB 4133 before the committee: HB 4132 (Rep. Snyder) A bill to amend 1949 PA 300, entitled "Michigan vehicle code," by amending sections 907 and 909 (MCL 257.907 and 257.909), section 907 as amended by 2020 PA 382 and section 909 as amended by 2000 PA 94, and by adding sections 2c, 627c, and 907a. HB 4133 (Rep. Mueller) A bill to amend 1961 PA 236, entitled "Revised judicature act of 1961," by amending section 8379 (MCL 600.8379), as amended by 2000 PA 93. Representative Neeley moved to adopt substitute (H-1) to HB 4132. The motion prevailed 15-0-0: FAVORABLE ROLL CALL Yeas: Reps. Representative Stone testified in support of HB 4061. Questions and discussion followed. Mac Haddow, representing the American Kratom Association, testified in support of HB 4061. Elizabeth Lucas, a professor at Macomb Community College, testified in support of HB 4061. Mark Kilgore, representing the Care of Southeastern Michigan, testified in support of HB 4061.
