- HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES COMMITTEE ON HIGHER EDUCATION REP. CAROL GLANVILLE CHAIR COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES Wednesday, April 12, 2023 10:30 AM Room 326, House Office Building The House Committee on Higher Education was called to order by Chair Glanville. The Chair requested attendance be called: Present: Reps. Glanville, Rheingans, Koleszar, Scott, Byrnes, Hill, MacDonell, Paiz, Paquette, Zorn, Bruck, DeSana. Absent: Reps. Coffia, VanderWall. Excused: Reps. Coffia, VanderWall. Representatives Paquette and Bruck joined the committee remotely. Representative Koleszar moved to adopt the meeting minutes from March 8, 2023. There being no objection, the motion prevailed by unanimous consent. The Chair laid a presentation by Michigan Independent Colleges & Universities before the committee. Robert LeFevre, President, and Colby Spencer Cesaro, Vice President, from Michigan Independent Colleges & Universities gave an overview presentation of their organization. Questions and discussion followed. Representative Byrnes moved to excuse Representatives Coffia and VanderWall from the meeting. There being no objection the motion prevailed by unanimous consent. There being no further business before the committee, Chair Glanville adjourned the meeting at 11:31 AM.
