The Chair requested attendance be called: Present: Reps. Young, Coffia, Glanville, Arbit, Edwards, MacDonell, Wozniak, Fox, Johnsen, Thompson. Absent: None. Excused: None. Representative Coffia moved to adopt the meeting minutes from May 9, 2023. There being no objection, the motion prevailed by unanimous consent. The Chair laid SB 137 before the committee: SB 137 (Sen. Damoose) A bill to amend 2008 PA 260, entitled "Guardianship assistance act," by amending sections 5, 5a, 5b, and 6 (MCL 722.875, 722.875a, 722.875b, and 722.876), section 5 as amended by 2009 PA 15 and sections 5a, 5b, and 6 as amended by 2015 PA 227. Stone) A bill to amend 1973 PA 116, entitled "An act to provide for the protection of children through the licensing and regulation of child care organizations; to provide for the establishment of standards of care for child care organizations; to prescribe powers and duties of certain departments of this state and adoption facilitators; to provide penalties; and to repeal acts and parts of acts," by amending section 1 (MCL 722.111), as amended by 2022 PA 208, and by adding section 1b. HB 4086 (Rep. Roth) A bill to amend 1973 PA 116, entitled "An act to provide for the protection of children through the licensing and regulation of child care organizations; to provide for the establishment of standards of care for child care organizations; to prescribe powers and duties of certain departments of this state and adoption facilitators; to provide penalties; and to repeal acts and parts of acts," by amending section 1 (MCL 722.111), as amended by 2022 PA 208. HB 4087 (Rep. O'Neal) A bill to allow homeless or runaway youth access to health care without parental consent; and to allow health care providers to treat homeless or runaway youth without parental consent.
