BRENDA CARTER CHAIR COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES Thursday, June 8, 2023 9:00 AM Room 521, House Office Building The House Committee on Insurance and Financial Services was called to order by Chair Brenda Carter. The Chair requested attendance be called: Present: Reps. Brenda Carter, McFall, Coleman, Stone, Breen, Rogers, Scott, Young, Fitzgerald, Grant, Harris, Markkanen, Bezotte, Aragona, Bruck, Neyer, Smit. Absent: None. Excused: None. Representative Young moved to adopt the meeting minutes from May 25, 2023. There being no objection, the motion prevailed by unanimous consent. The Chair laid HB 4619, HB 4620, HB 4621, HB 4622 and HB 4623 before the committee: HB 4619 (Rep. Rogers) A bill to amend 1956 PA 218, entitled "The insurance code of 1956," by amending section 2027 (MCL 500.2027), as amended by 1998 PA 26. HB 4620 (Rep. Edwards) A bill to amend 1956 PA 218, entitled "The insurance code of 1956," (MCL 500.100 to 500.8302) by adding section 3406z. HB 4621 (Rep. Fitzgerald) A bill to amend 1956 PA 218, entitled "The insurance code of 1956," by amending section 3403 (MCL 500.3403), as amended by 2016 PA 276. HB 4622 (Rep.
