- HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES COMMITTEE ON FAMILIES, CHILDREN AND SENIORS REP. STEPHANIE A YOUNG CHAIR COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES Tuesday, June 20, 2023 12:00 PM Room 326, House Office Building The House Committee on Families, Children and Seniors was called to order by Chair Young. The Chair requested attendance be called: Present: Reps. Young, Coffia, Glanville, Arbit, Edwards, MacDonell, Wozniak, Fox, Johnsen, Thompson. Absent: None. Excused: None. Representative Glanville moved to adopt the meeting minutes from June 13, 2023. There being no objection, the motion prevailed by unanimous consent. The Chair laid HB 4320 and HB 4387 before the committee: HB 4320 (Rep. MacDonell) A bill to amend 1931 PA 328, entitled "The Michigan penal code," (MCL 750.1 to 750.568) by adding section 145h. HB 4387 (Rep. MacDonell) A bill to amend 1927 PA 175, entitled "The code of criminal procedure," by amending section 16g of chapter XVII (MCL 777.16g), as amended by 2020 PA 50. Representative MacDonell moved to adopt substitute (H-1) to HB 4320. The motion prevailed 9-0-0: FAVORABLE ROLL CALL Yeas: Reps. Young, Coffia, Glanville, Edwards, MacDonell, Wozniak, Fox, Johnsen, Thompson. Nays: None. Pass: None. Representative MacDonell testified in support of HB 4320 and HB 4387.
