TYRONE CARTER CHAIR COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES Tuesday, June 20, 2023 10:30 AM Room 519, House Office Building The House Committee on Regulatory Reform was called to order by Chair Tyrone Carter. The Chair requested attendance be called: Present: Reps. Tyrone Carter, Liberati, Neeley, Scott, Young, Grant, McFall, Snyder, Wilson, Mueller, Filler, Wendzel, Aragona, Bierlein, Neyer. Absent: None. Excused: None. Representative Neeley moved to adopt the meeting minutes from June 13, 2023. There being no objection, the motion prevailed by unanimous consent. The Chair laid SB 247 before the committee: SB 247 (Sen. McCann) A bill to amend 1998 PA 58, entitled "Michigan liquor control code of 1998," by amending section 531 (MCL 436.1531), as amended by 2014 PA 135. Senator McCann, and Marlon Lynch, representing the Michigan State University Department of Public Safety, testified in support of SB 247. Questions and discussion followed. Representative Filler moved to report out SB 247 with recommendation. The motion prevailed 14-0-0: FAVORABLE ROLL CALL Yeas: Reps. Tyrone Carter, Liberati, Neeley, Scott, Young, Grant, McFall, Snyder, Mueller, Filler, Wendzel, Aragona, Bierlein, Neyer. Nays: None. Pass: None. Representative McFall testified in support of HB 4600 and HB 4601.
