- HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES COMMITTEE ON FAMILIES, CHILDREN AND SENIORS REP. STEPHANIE A. YOUNG CHAIR COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES Tuesday, September 12, 2023 12:00 PM Room 326, House Office Building The House Committee on Families, Children and Seniors was called to order by Chair Young. The Chair requested attendance be called: Present: Reps. Young, Coffia, Glanville, Arbit, Edwards, MacDonell, Wozniak, Fox, Johnsen, Thompson. Absent: None. Excused: None. Representative Coffia moved to adopt the meeting minutes from June 27, 2023. There being no objection, the motion prevailed by unanimous consent. The Chair laid a presentation by the Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs before the committee. Paige Fults, Director of the Office of Policy and Legislative Affairs, and Jay Calewarts, Director of Adult Foster Care Licensing and Camps, representing the Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs gave a presentation on Adult Foster Care. Questions and discussion followed. There being no further business before the committee, Chair Young adjourned the meeting at 12:54 PM. Representative Stephanie A.
