- HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES COMMITTEE ON ENERGY, COMMUNICATIONS, AND TECHNOLOGY REP. HELENA SCOTT CHAIR COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES Wednesday, September 20, 2023 9:00 AM Room 521, House Office Building The House Committee on Energy, Communications, and Technology was called to order by Majority Vice Chair Andrews. The Majority Vice Chair Joey Andrews requested attendance be called: Present: Reps. Scott, Andrews, Coleman, Whitsett, Neeley, Byrnes, Churches, Hill, MacDonell, McFall, Wendzel, Aragona, BeGole, Greene, Prestin, Schmaltz. Absent: Rep. Outman. Excused: Rep. Outman. Representative Coleman joined the committee remotely. Representative Churches moved to adopt the meeting minutes from September 13, 2023. There being no objection, the motion prevailed by unanimous consent. The Majority Vice Chair laid before the committee a presentation by Nathan Kark, Executive Director, Michigan Cable Telecommunications Association. Questions and discussion followed. Nathan Kark testified in support of The Chair entered the meeting and assumed the gavel, the time being 9:11 AM. Representative Andrews moved to excuse Representative Outman from the meeting. There being no objection the motion prevailed by unanimous consent. There being no further business before the committee, Chair Scott adjourned the meeting at 9:28 AM.
