The Chair requested attendance be called: Present: Reps. Tyrone Carter, Liberati, Neeley, Scott, Young, Grant, McFall, Snyder, Wilson, Mueller, Filler, Wendzel, Aragona, Bierlein, Neyer. Absent: None. Excused: None. Representative Liberati moved to adopt the meeting minutes from October 10, 2023. There being no objection, the motion prevailed by unanimous consent. The Chair laid HB 4613 and HB 4614 before the committee: HB 4613 (Rep. Prestin) A bill to amend 1978 PA 368, entitled "Public health code," by amending section 20952 (MCL 333.20952), as added by 1990 PA 179. HB 4614 (Rep. Fitzgerald) A bill to amend 1978 PA 368, entitled "Public health code," (MCL 333.1101 to 333.25211) by adding section 20952a. The following person submitted a card in support of HB 4613 and HB 4614, but did not wish to speak: Sonny Koch, representing Americans for Prosperity-Michigan. Representative Filler moved to report out HB 4613 with recommendation. The motion prevailed 15-0-0: FAVORABLE ROLL CALL Yeas: Reps. HB 4923 (Rep. Aragona) A bill to amend 1978 PA 368, entitled "Public health code," by amending sections 21903 and 21905 (MCL 333.21903 and 333.21905), as added by 2017 PA 172. Representative McKinney explained the changes in substitute (H-1) to HB 4885. Representative McFall moved to adopt substitute (H-1) to HB 4885.
