JOHN FITZGERALD CHAIR COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES Wednesday, October 25, 2023 12:00 PM Room 519, House Office Building The House Committee on Local Government and Municipal Finance was called to order by Chair Fitzgerald. The Chair requested attendance be called: Present: Reps. Fitzgerald, Byrnes, Shannon, Breen, Rogers, Hill, Hoskins, Paiz, Zorn, Paquette, Bezotte, BeGole, Prestin. Absent: None. Excused: None. Representative Hoskins moved to adopt the meeting minutes from October 18, 2023. There being no objection, the motion prevailed by unanimous consent. The Chair laid HB 5109 before the committee: HB 5109 (Rep. Coleman) A bill to amend 1978 PA 59, entitled "Condominium act," by amending section 47 (MCL 559.147), as amended by 1987 PA 31. Representative Coleman testified in support of HB 5109. Questions and discussion followed. Jane McCurry, representing Clean Fuels Michigan, testified in support of HB 5109. Coffia) A bill to amend 1897 PA 230, entitled "An act to provide for the formation of corporations for the purpose of owning, maintaining, and improving lands and other property kept for the purposes of summer resorts or for ornament, recreation, or amusement; to provide for the powers and duties of certain state governmental officers and entities; and to repeal acts and parts of acts," (MCL 455.1 to 455.24) by adding section 19.
