- HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES COMMITTEE ON ETHICS AND OVERSIGHT REP. ERIN BYRNES CHAIR COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES Thursday, January 18, 2024 10:30 AM Room 521, House Office Building The House Committee on Ethics and Oversight was called to order by Chair Byrnes. The Chair requested attendance be called: Present: Reps. Byrnes, Hope, Breen, Churches, Hoskins, Wegela, Kunse, Wozniak, Harris. Absent: None. Excused: None. Representative Wegela joined the committee remotely. Representative Hope moved to adopt the meeting minutes from June 22, 2023. There being no objection, the motion prevailed by unanimous consent. The Chair laid the presentation from the Office of the Auditor General before the committee. Yvonne Benn, CPA., and Angela Shinaver, representing the Michigan Office of the Auditor General, both provided a presentation on the Performance Audit Report, Selected Activities Related to Investigation Timeliness and Complaint Intake, Michigan Department of Civil Rights, August 2023, #151-0200-22. Questions and discussion followed. There being no further business before the committee, Chair Byrnes adjourned the meeting at 11:19 AM.
