- HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES COMMITTEE ON TRANSPORTATION, MOBILITY AND INFRASTRUCTURE REP. NATE SHANNON CHAIR COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES Tuesday, February 6, 2024 10:30 AM Room 521, House Office Building The House Committee on Transportation, Mobility and Infrastructure was called to order by Chair Shannon. The Clerk read in a letter from House Speaker Joe Tate removing Representative Coleman from the House Transportation, Mobility and Infrastructure Committee. The Clerk read in a letter from House Speaker Joe Tate adding Representative Edwards to the House Transportation, Mobility and Infrastructure Committee. The Chair requested attendance be called: Present: Reps. Shannon, MacDonell, Conlin, Edwards, Farhat, Fitzgerald, Hoskins, Miller, Outman, Roth, Bruck, Kunse, St. Germaine. Absent: None. Excused: None. Representative Edwards moved to adopt the meeting minutes from October 31, 2023. There being no objection, the motion prevailed by unanimous consent. The Chair laid HB 4705 before the committee: HB 4705 (Rep. Tisdel) A bill to amend 2001 PA 142, entitled "Michigan memorial highway act," (MCL 250.1001 to 250.2092) by adding section 109. Representative Tisdel, Pat McKay, Case Aiken, and Christa Meyers, testified in support of HB 4705. Brendan Johnson, representing the Oakland County Commission, testified in support of HB 4705. Representative MacDonell moved to report out HB 4705 with recommendation. The motion prevailed 13-0-0: FAVORABLE ROLL CALL Yeas: Reps. Shannon, MacDonell, Conlin, Edwards, Farhat, Fitzgerald, Hoskins, Miller, Outman, Roth, Bruck, Kunse, St. Germaine. Nays: None. Pass: None. The Chair laid before the committee a Presentation by Lance Binoniemi, representing the Michigan Infrastructure and Transportation Association. Questions and discussion followed. Ron Davis, representing the HNTB Corporation, testified on the presentation provided by the Michigan Infrastructure and Transportation Association. Questions and discussion followed.
