- HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES COMMITTEE ON FAMILIES AND VETERANS REP. KATHY SCHMALTZ CHAIR COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES The House Committee on Families and Veterans was called to order by Chair Schmaltz. The Chair requested attendance to be called: Present: Reps. Schmaltz, Wozniak, Fox, Johnsen, Thompson, Pavlov, Woolford, Young, Byrnes, Rheingans and Xiong. Absent: None. Excused: None. Representative Wozniak moved to adopt the meeting minutes from April 15, 2025. There being no objection, the motion prevailed with unanimous consent. The Chair laid HB 4279 before the committee: Representative Greene, testified in support of HB 4279. Questions and discussions followed. Rick Donovan, representing the Polish Legion of American Veterans, testified in support of HB 4279. Questions and discussions followed. The Chair laid a presentation on VETLIFE-Battle Buddy Mobile Application before the committee. Josh Parish, representing the VETLIFE, gave a presentation on VETLIFE-Battle Buddy Mobile Application. Questions and discussions followed. There being no further business before the committee, Chair Schmaltz adjourned the meeting at 1:22 PM.
