- HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES COMMITTEE ON FINANCE REP. MARK TISDEL CHAIR COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES The House Committee on Finance was called to order by Chair Tisdel. The Chair requested attendance to be called: Present: Reps. Tisdel, Frisbie, VanderWall, Lightner, Martin, Posthumus, Alexander, Aragona, Schuette, Hoskins, Tyrone Carter, Neeley, Young and Paiz. Absent: Rep. Breen. Excused: Rep. Breen. Representative Neeley moved to adopt the meeting minutes from April 15, 2025. There being no objection, the motion prevailed with unanimous consent. The Chair laid HB 4201 before the committee: Representative Lightner moved to adopt substitute (H-3) to HB 4201. The motion prevailed 13- 0-0: FAVORABLE ROLL CALL Yeas: Reps. Tisdel, Frisbie, VanderWall, Lightner, Posthumus, Alexander, Aragona, Schuette, Hoskins, Tyrone Carter, Neeley, Young and Paiz. Nays: None. Pass: None. The Chair laid HB 4287 before the committee: Tuesday, April 22, 2025 10:30 AM Room 521, House Office Building HB 4201 (Rep. Schmaltz) A bill to amend 1967 PA 281, entitled "Income tax act of 1967," by amending section 30 (MCL 206.30), as amended by 2023 PA 4. HB 4287 (Rep. Bohnak) A bill to amend 1967 PA 281, entitled "Income tax act of 1967," by amending sections 30, 623, and 815 (MCL 206.30, 206.623, and 206.815), section 30 as amended Representative Bohnak testified in support of HB 4287. Jennifer Greenburg, representing the Peninsula Fiber Network, testified in support of HB 4287. Joelle Demand, representing the Broadband Association of Michigan, testified in support of HB 4287. The following person submitted a card in support of HB 4287, but did not wish to speak: Gavin Goetz, representing AT&T. At 10:51 AM, the Chair laid the committee at ease. At 10:52 AM, the Chair called the committee back to order. Representative Schuette moved to report out HB 4201 with recommendation, as substitute (H-3). The motion prevailed 10-0-4: FAVORABLE ROLL CALL Yeas: Reps. Tisdel, Frisbie, VanderWall, Lightner, Martin, Posthumus, Alexander, Aragona, Schuette and Paiz. Nays: None. Pass: Reps. Hoskins, Tyrone Carter, Neeley and Young. Representative Tyrone Carter moved to excuse Representative Breen from the meeting. There being no objection the motion prevailed by unanimous consent. There being no further business before the committee, Chair Tisdel adjourned the meeting at 10:53 AM.
