ERIN BYRNES CHAIR COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES Thursday, April 25, 2024 9:00 AM Room 352, House Appropriations, State Capitol Building The House Committee on Ethics and Oversight was meeting jointly with the House Committee on Labor. The House Committee on Ethics and Oversight was called to order by Chair Byrnes. The Chair requested attendance be called: Present: Reps. Byrnes, Hope, Breen, Churches, Hoskins, Wegela, Kunse, Wozniak, Harris. Absent: None. Excused: None. Representative Hope moved to adopt the meeting minutes from April 18, 2024. There being no objection, the motion prevailed by unanimous consent. The Chair laid the presentation on the Office of the Auditor General Report on Unemployment Insurance Agency 186-0320-22 December 2023 before the committee. Audit Division Administrator Bryan Weiler and Principal Audit Supervisor Chad Monger, representing the Office of the Auditor General, provided a presentation on the Office of the Auditor General Report on Unemployment Insurance Agency 186-0320-22 December 2023. Questions and discussion followed. Director Julia Dale and Legislative Liaison Rachael Wineland, representing the Michigan Department of Labor and Economic Opportunity's Unemployment Insurance Agency, provided a presentation on the Michigan Unemployment Insurance Agency. Questions and discussion followed. There being no further business before the committee, Chair Byrnes adjourned the meeting at 10:27 AM.
