JIM HAADSMA CHAIR COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES Thursday, April 25, 2024 9:00 AM Room 352, House Appropriations, State Capitol Building The House Labor Committee was meeting jointly with the House Ethics and Oversight Committee. The House Committee on Labor was called to order by Chair Haadsma. The Chair requested attendance be called: Present: Reps. Haadsma, Mentzer, Koleszar, O'Neal, Andrews, Churches, Wegela, Wozniak, Mueller, Kunse. Absent: None. Excused: None. Representative Andrews joined the committee remotely. Representative Churches moved to adopt the meeting minutes from April 18, 2024. There being no objection, the motion prevailed by unanimous consent. The Chair laid before the committee the Office of the Auditor General Report on Unemployment Insurance Agency 186-0320-22 December 2023. Bryan Weiler and Chad Monger, representing the Office of the Auditor General, testified to the Office of the Auditor General Report on Unemployment Insurance Agency 186-0320-22 December 2023. Questions and discussion followed. Director Julia Dale and Legislative Liaison Rachel Wineland, representing the Michigan Department of Labor and Economic Opportunity's Unemployment Insurance Agency, testified to the Office of the Auditor General Report on Unemployment Insurance Agency 186-0320-22 December 2023. Questions and discussion followed. There being no further business before the committee, Chair Haadsma adjourned the meeting at 10:27 AM.
