NATE SHANNON CHAIR COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES Tuesday, May 21, 2024 10:30 AM Room 521, House Office Building The House Committee on Transportation, Mobility and Infrastructure was called to order by Chair Shannon. The Chair requested attendance be called: Present: Reps. Shannon, MacDonell, Conlin, Farhat, Fitzgerald, Hoskins, Miller, Herzberg, Outman, Roth, Kunse, St. Germaine. Absent: Rep. Bruck. Excused: Rep. Bruck. Representative Hoskins moved to adopt the meeting minutes from May 14, 2024. There being no objection, the motion prevailed by unanimous consent. The Chair laid HB 5341 and HB 5342 before the committee: HB 5341 (Rep. BeGole) A bill to amend 1949 PA 300, entitled "Michigan vehicle code," by amending sections 2 and 698 (MCL 257.2 and 257.698), section 2 as amended by 2011 PA 231 and section 698 as amended by 2020 PA 382. HB 5342 (Rep. Shannon) A bill to amend 1949 PA 300, entitled "Michigan vehicle code," by amending section 312e (MCL 257.312e), as amended by 2022 PA 193. Representative Kunse moved to report out HB 5341 with recommendation. The motion prevailed 12-0-0: FAVORABLE ROLL CALL Yeas: Reps. Shannon, MacDonell, Conlin, Farhat, Hoskins, Miller, Herzberg, Outman, Roth, Bruck, Kunse, St. Germaine. Nays: None. Pass: None. Representative Miller moved to report out HB 5342 with recommendation.
