BRENDA CARTER CHAIR COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES Wednesday, June 5, 2024 2:44 PM Room 521, House Office Building The House Committee on Insurance and Financial Services was called to order by Chair Brenda Carter. The Chair requested attendance be called: Present: Reps. Brenda Carter, McFall, Breen, Rogers, Scott, Young, Fitzgerald, Grant, Tsernoglou, Xiong, Harris, Bezotte, Aragona, Bruck, Neyer. Absent: Reps. Markkanen, Smit. Excused: Reps. Markkanen, Smit. Representative Breen moved to adopt the meeting minutes from May 23, 2024. There being no objection, the motion prevailed by unanimous consent. The Chair laid HB 5350 before the committee: HB 5350 (Rep. Farhat) A bill to amend 1978 PA 368, entitled "Public health code," (MCL 333.1101 to 333.25211) by adding section 17757c. Representative Farhat testified in support of HB 5350.
