- Senator Nesbitt’s statement is as follows:
A billion dollars a year. Every year, a billion dollars that motorists are paying at the pump are going to
other uses than fixing our roads, our bridges, and our infrastructure that has been crumbling. It’s about time
we take that promise—to make sure every dime that hardworking taxpayers pay at the pump actually goes
to fixing our roads. I ask for a “yes” vote on these bills.
