- today, we continue to see no action by the majority to hold the Department of Health and Human Services
accountable and act on this commonsense legislation.
I look forward to the independent Auditor General report on how the department handles recipient rights
allegations within our state hospital system after the new year. If the Senate majority continues to not hold
this department accountable, I remain hopeful new leadership in the House will pick up this oversight
responsibility come 2025.
