today, we continue to see no action by the majority to hold the Department of Health and Human Services accountable and act on this commonsense legislation. I look forward to the independent Auditor General report on how the department handles recipient rights allegations within our state hospital system after the new year. If the Senate majority continues to not hold this department accountable, I remain hopeful new leadership in the House will pick up this oversight responsibility come 2025. The following bill was read a third time: Senate Bill No. 916, entitled A bill to amend 1974 PA 258, entitled “Mental health code,” (MCL 330.1001 to 330.2106) by adding section 1021 and chapter 10A.
