Paquette) A bill to amend 1956 PA 218, entitled "The insurance code of 1956,"by amending sections 1001 and 1027 (MCL 500.1001 and 500.1027), section 1001 as amended by 2016 PA 276 and section 1027 as added by 2008 PA 342, and by adding section 1028; and to repeal acts and parts of acts. Karin Gyger and Judy Weaver, representing the Michigan Department of Insurance and Financial Services, testified in support of HB 5241, HB 5242 and HB 5243. Questions and discussion followed.
