Hill) A bill to create a grant program to assist certain public institutions of higher education in addressing student hunger at those institutions; to provide for the powers and duties of certain state governmental officers and entities; and to require the promulgation of rules. HB 4844 (Rep. Witwer) A bill to amend 2020 PA 366, entitled "An act to prohibit postsecondary educational institutions in this state and certain athletic organizations from preventing a college athlete from receiving compensation for the use of his or her name, image, or likeness rights," by amending sections 3, 5, 7, and 10 (MCL 390.1733, 390.1735, 390.1737, and 390.1740). A Substitute (H-3) was adopted for HB 4816 at the October 4th, 2023 meeting. A Substitute (H-1) was adopted for HB 4844 at the October 4th, 2023 meeting.
