Senator Hertel offered the following amendments: 1. Amend page 10, following line 25, by inserting: “Helmets to hardhats 500,000”. 2. Amend page 11, line 9, after “ $ ” by striking out “50,500,200”. and inserting “51,000,200” and adjusting the subtotals, totals, and section 201 accordingly. Senator Chang requested the yeas and nays. The yeas and nays were ordered, 1/5 of the members present voting therefor. Recess Senator Lauwers moved that the Senate recess subject to the call of the Chair. The motion prevailed, the time being 2:09 p.m. 2:19 p.m. The Senate was called to order by the President, Lieutenant Governor Gilchrist. The amendments were not adopted, a majority of the members serving not voting therefor, as follows:
