- (g) The analysis of constructing a new school building compared to retrofitting the existing building referenced in subsection (3). (h) The geographic distribution of award, which the department should maximize where funding and quality applications permit. (i) Whether a district has previously received funding from the school infrastructure fund. Priority must be given to districts that have not previously received funding under this section. (j) The complete application submitted and whether it meets all the requirements described in subsection (3). (7) If the department approves an application for funding under this section, it may approve the project submitted by the district either partially or in full. (8) The department shall report on award activities under this section, including the number of approved and denied applications, projected cost included in each application, and progress made on approved projects, to the senate and house appropriations subcommittees on school aid and the department of education, the senate and house fiscal agencies, and the state budget office by September 30, 2023. (9) No one district must receive more than 15% of the funds allocated under subsection (1) from the school infrastructure fund. (10) Notwithstanding section 17b, the department shall make payments under this section on a schedule determined by the department. ” and adjusting the totals in section 11 and enacting section 1 accordingly . 2.
