Not Voting—0 In The Chair: Nesbitt Senator Lauwers moved that the bill be given immediate effect. The motion prevailed, 2/3 of the members serving voting therefor. Pursuant to Joint Rule 20, the full title of the act shall be inserted to read as follows: “An act to prohibit the selling, giving, or furnishing of tobacco products, vapor products, and alternative nicotine products to minors; to prohibit the purchase, possession, or use of tobacco products, vapor products, and alternative nicotine products by minors; to regulate the retail sale of tobacco products, vapor products, alternative nicotine products, and liquid nicotine containers; to prescribe penalties; and to prescribe the powers and duties of certain state agencies and departments,” The Senate agreed to the full title. The following bill was read a third time: House Bill No. 6109, entitled A bill to amend 1978 PA 368, entitled “Public health code,” by amending section 12606a (MCL 333.12606a), as added by 2009 PA 188.
