- the following statement: “Mr. Speaker and members of the House: I believe that we should limit the naming of highways and roads to those in the military and our other first responders who are killed in the line of duty. I respect the service of Representative Plawecki but I cannot support going down the road of naming highways after politicians.” The Speaker called Associate Speaker Pro Tempore Hornberger to the Chair. House Bill No. 4081, entitled A bill to amend 2001 PA 142, entitled “Michigan memorial highway act,” (MCL 250.1001 to 250.2080) by adding section 25a. Was read a third time and passed, a majority of the members serving voting therefor, by yeas and nays, as follows:
