The motion prevailed, a majority of the members serving voting therefor. House Bill No. 4916, entitled A bill to create the sports betting act; to impose requirements for persons to engage in sports betting; to provide for the powers and duties of state governmental officers and entities; to impose fees; to impose a tax on the conduct of licensed sports betting; to prohibit certain acts in relation to sports betting and to prescribe penalties for those violations; to require the promulgation of rules; and to provide remedies.
