- In The Chair: President The Senate agreed to the title of the bill. The following bill was read a third time: Senate Bill No. 149, entitled A bill to make appropriations for the state transportation department for the fiscal year ending September 30, 2020; and to provide for the expenditure of the appropriations. The question being on the passage of the bill, Senator Hollier offered the following amendment: 1. Amend page 36, following line 17, by inserting “On or before May 1 of each year and in anticipation of the annual consensus revenue estimating conference, the department shall submit a report to the senate and house appropriation subcommittees on transportation, the senate and house full appropriations committees, the senate and house fiscal agencies, and the director of the state budget office. The report shall estimate how much of the current trunkline road system is in good or fair condition and estimate the amount of state trunkline funds required to improve or maintain the trunkline road system to 90% in good or fair condition.”. The amendment was not adopted, a majority of the members serving not voting therefor. Senator Chang requested the yeas and nays.
