- Senator MacGregor moved that the Senate recess subject to the call of the Chair. The motion prevailed, the time being 10:06 a.m. 11:11 a.m. The Senate was called to order by the President, Lieutenant Governor Gilchrist. During the recess, Senators McBroom, Hertel, Santana, Bullock, Hollier and Ananich entered the Senate Chamber. During the recess, Senator McMorrow introduced Cara Lougheed of Rochester Community Schools, 2019‑2020 Michigan Teacher of the Year; and presented her with a Special Tribute. Messages from the House Senate Bill No. 129, entitled A bill to amend 2016 PA 436, entitled “Unmanned aircraft systems act,” by amending section 5 (MCL 259.305). Substitute (H-5).
