- 2. Amend page 3, following line 6, by inserting: “ (2) The party foreclosing the mortgage shall not publish a notice of foreclosure under this chapter in a newspaper in which the party foreclosing the mortgage has an ownership interest. ”. The question being on the adoption of the amendments, Senator Hertel withdrew the amendments. Senator Hertel offered the following amendments: 1. Amend page 1, line 1, after “3212.” by inserting “ (1) ”. 2. Amend page 3, following line 6, by inserting: “ (2) The party foreclosing the mortgage shall not publish a notice of foreclosure under this chapter in a newspaper in which the party foreclosing, or its agent, has a majority ownership interest. ”. The amendments were not adopted, a majority of the members serving not voting therefor. Senator Chang requested the yeas and nays.
