- I stand today to offer an amendment that would carry that very good policy forward and make sure that as we are considering bills to collect areas in statute to provide tax fairness, we make sure we are not negatively impacting the future of every single child in this state. I encourage a “yes” vote on this amendment. The following bill was read a third time: House Bill No. 4204, entitled A bill to amend 1937 PA 94, entitled “Use tax act,” by amending section 2b (MCL 205.92b), as amended by 2017 PA 220, and by adding section 4ff. The question being on the passage of the bill, Senator Polehanki offered the following amendment: 1. Amend page 7, following line 28, by inserting: “Enacting section 1. It is the intent of the legislature to annually appropriate sufficient funds from the state general fund to the state school aid fund created in section 11 of article IX of the state constitution of 1963 to fully compensate for any loss of revenue to the state school aid fund resulting from the enactment of this amendatory act.”.
