The motion prevailed. Senator MacGregor moved to reconsider the vote by which the following bill was passed: House Bill No. 5217, entitled A bill to prohibit postsecondary educational institutions in this state and certain athletic organizations from preventing a college athlete from receiving compensation for the use of his or her name, image, or likeness rights. The motion prevailed, a majority of the members serving voting therefor. The question being on the passage of the bill, Senator Hollier offered the following amendments: 1. Amend page 6, line 11, after “logos,” by striking out “or”. 2. Amend page 6, line 12, after “symbols,” by inserting “or any other intellectual property,”. The amendments were adopted, a majority of the members serving voting therefor.
