- A bill to amend 1893 PA 58, entitled “An act to provide for selecting seats for members in the hall of the house of representatives,” by amending section 1 (MCL 4.61). The question being on the passage of the bill, Senator McBroom offered the following substitute: Substitute (S-1). The question being on the adoption of the substitute, Senator McBroom withdrew the substitute. Senator McBroom offered the following amendment: 1. Amend page 3, following line 5, by inserting: “ (5) This act does not apply if section 54 of article IV of the state constitution of 1963 is repealed or is amended after the effective date of the amendatory act that added this subsection. ”. The amendment was adopted, a majority of the members serving voting therefor.
