- The Speaker laid before the House Senate Bill No. 627, entitled A bill to provide for the recovery or replacement of durable monuments defining the Michigan-Indiana state line; to create a commission; to provide for the powers and duties of certain state and local governmental officers and agencies; and to repeal acts and parts of acts. (The bill was received from the Senate on May 5, with an amendment to the House substitute (H-2), and immediate effect given by the Senate, consideration of which, under the rules, was postponed until today, see House Journal No. 40, p. 639.) The question being on concurring in the amendment to the House substitute (H-2) made to the bill by the Senate, The amendment was concurred in, a majority of the members serving voting therefor, by yeas and nays, as follows:
