- The House agreed to the title of the bill. Rep. Posthumus moved that the bill be given immediate effect. The motion prevailed, 2/3 of the members serving voting therefor. House Bill No. 4301, entitled A bill to amend 1949 PA 300, entitled “Michigan vehicle code,” by amending sections 2 and 698 (MCL 257.2 and 257.698), section 2 as amended by 2011 PA 231 and section 698 as amended by 2020 PA 382. The bill was read a third time. The question being on the passage of the bill, Rep. Carra moved to amend the bill as follows: 1. Amend page 8, line 28, after “infraction” by striking out the period and inserting “and shall be ordered to pay a civil fine of not more than $100.00.”. The motion was seconded and the amendment was adopted, a majority of the members serving voting therefor.
