However, provisions such as state-sanctioned special recognition of military students and their families that is different from other students or allow U.S. armed services access to an indeterminate amount of volunteer opportunities, opportunities to speak at school assemblies, or opportunities to host field trips exceeds providing emotional support to the children of military families and instead sanctions an increased military presence for all students. While the bill may appear well-intentioned, there is room for improvement.
