- is essential to ensure access to care, especially during times of emergency, economic downturns, and periods of increased cost of living; now, therefore, be it Resolved by the Senate, That we urge the President of the United States and the United States Congress to fully fund Medicaid and to reject any proposal that would strip access to those in need and shift costs onto states, health care providers, and vulnerable individuals; and be it further Resolved, That copies of this resolution be transmitted to the President of the United States, the Speaker of the United States House of Representatives, the Majority Leader of the United States Senate, and the Michigan congressional delegation. The question being on the adoption of the resolution, Senator Singh requested the yeas and nays. The yeas and nays were ordered, 1/5 of the members present voting therefor.
