- The question being on the passage of the bill, Senator Runestad offered the following amendment: 1. Amend page 1, line 3, after “ item. ” by striking out the balance of the line through “ representatives ” on line 6 and inserting “ A legislator must submit a request for a legislatively directed spending item at least 60 days before the date that the appropriations bill containing the legislatively directed spending item is passed by that legislator’s chamber the first time ”. The question being on the adoption of the amendment, Senator Runestad withdrew the amendment. Senator Runestad offered the following amendments: 1. Amend page 1, line 5, after “ least ” by striking out “ 10 ” and inserting “ 60 ”. 2. Amend page 1, line 7, by striking out “ both chambers of the legislature ” and inserting “ that legislator’s chamber the first time ”. The question being on the adoption of the amendments, Senator Lauwers requested the yeas and nays. The yeas and nays were ordered, 1/5 of the members present voting therefor. The amendments were not adopted, a majority of the members serving not voting therefor, as follows:
