Senate Bill No. 465 The motion prevailed. The following bill was read a third time: Senate Bill No. 462, entitled A bill to amend 1915 PA 31, entitled “Youth tobacco act,” by amending the title and sections 1, 4, and 5 (MCL 722.641, 722.644, and 722.645), the title as amended by 2019 PA 18, sections 1 and 4 as amended by 2022 PA 167, and section 5 as added by 1988 PA 314, and by adding sections 1a, 1b, 1c, 1d, 1e, 1f, 1g, and 1h. The question being on the passage of the bill, Senator Singh offered the following amendment: 1. Amend page 21, line 19, by striking out all of enacting section 1 and inserting: “Enacting section 1. This amendatory act does not take effect unless Senate Bill No. 465 of the 103rd Legislature is enacted into law.”. The amendment was adopted, a majority of the members serving voting therefor.
