Senator Chang’s statement, in which Senator Cherry concurred, is as follows: The Senator from Genesee County and I would like to recognize that, with us in the Senate today, we have Brandi Morey-Poles—she is Rowan’s mother, and the founder of the Rowan Project. She has dedicated her life to ensuring safety and dignity for children across the state of Michigan, and we thank her for her leadership. Senator Singh moved that the Senate proceed to consideration of the following bill: House Bill No. 4358 The motion prevailed. The following bill was read a third time: House Bill No. 4358, entitled A bill to amend 1909 PA 279, entitled “The home rule city act,” (MCL 117.1 to 117.38) by adding section 3c.
