The following bill was announced: House Bill No. 5233, entitled A bill to require certain employers to provide paid military leave for certain members of those employers; and to provide certain conditions for the use of paid military leave. The question being on the passage of the bill, Senator Klinefelt offered the following amendment: 1. Amend page 4, following line 17, by inserting: “Sec. 8. This act applies to state employees under the jurisdiction of the civil service commission only to the extent the power exists in the legislature to control employment by this state or the emoluments of this state.”. Senator Klinefelt withdrew the amendment. The question being on the passage of the bill, The bill was passed, a majority of the members serving voting therefor, as follows:
