- Senate Bill No. 700, entitled A bill to amend 1936 (Ex Sess ) PA 1, entitled “Michigan employment security act,” by amending section 62 (MCL 421.62), as amended by 2024 PA 238. The question being on the passage of the bill, Senator Damoose offered the following substitute: Substitute (S-4). The question being on the adoption of the substitute, Senator Damoose withdrew the substitute. Senator Albert offered the following amendment: 1. Amend page 5, line 19, after “ agency. ” by inserting “ A waiver granted under this subdivision does not obligate or encumber the unemployment trust fund for any amount, refund, or obligation due as a result of the requirements of this subdivision. ”. The amendment was adopted, a majority of the members serving voting therefor.
