- A bill to amend 1949 PA 300, entitled “Michigan vehicle code,” by amending sections 83 and 304 (MCL 257.83 and 257.304), section 83 as added by 2020 PA 383 and section 304 as amended by 2020 PA 376. The bill was read a second time. Rep. Aiyash moved that the bill be placed on the order of Third Reading of Bills. The motion prevailed. By unanimous consent the House returned to the order of Messages from the Senate The Speaker laid before the House House Bill No. 4295, entitled A bill to amend 1897 PA 180, entitled “An act to provide for the issuance of marriage licenses and certificates without publicity in certain cases; and to provide criminal and civil penalties for violation of this act,” by amending section 1 (MCL 551.201), as amended by 1983 PA 199. (The bill was received from the Senate on June 27, with substitute (S-1) and immediate effect given by the Senate, consideration of which, under the rules, was postponed until June 28, see House Journal No. 60, p. 1054.)
