In The Chair: Pohutsky The House agreed to the title of the bill. Rep. Wilson moved that the bill be given immediate effect. The motion prevailed, 2/3 of the members serving voting therefor. Reps. Bezotte, Brabec, Breen, Brenda Carter, Churches, Dievendorf, Edwards, Haadsma, Hood, Hoskins, Koleszar, Liberati, MacDonell, McFall, McKinney, Mentzer, Morse, Mueller, Neeley, O’Neal, Scott, Skaggs, Stone, Wegela, Weiss, Whitsett, and Young were named co-sponsors of the bill. Rep. Jaime Greene, under Rule 31, made the following statement: “Mr. Speaker and members of the House: I did not vote on Roll Call No. 414 because of a possible conflict of interest.” House Bill No. 4716, entitled A bill to amend 1949 PA 300, entitled “Michigan vehicle code,” by amending section 217c (MCL 257.217c), as amended by 2022 PA 224.
