- The Senate agreed to the title of the bill. The following bill was read a third time: Senate Bill No. 83, entitled A bill to provide for the issuance of restraining orders prohibiting certain individuals from possessing or purchasing firearms and ordering the surrender and seizure of a restrained individual’s firearms; to provide for the powers and duties of certain state and local governmental officers and entities; to prescribe penalties; and to provide remedies. The question being on the passage of the bill, Senator Bellino offered the following amendment: 1. Amend page 21, following line 18, by inserting: “(c) Senate Bill No. 184.”. The question being on the adoption of the amendment, Senator Lauwers requested the yeas and nays. The yeas and nays were ordered, 1/5 of the members present voting therefor.
