- In The Chair: Moss Senator Outman offered the following amendment: 1. Amend page 74, following line 15, by inserting: “Sec. 532. The department shall annually certify that the rates paid to private child placing agencies are actuarially sound and shall provide a copy of the rate certification to the private child placing agencies.”. The amendment was not adopted, a majority of the members serving not voting therefor. Senator McBroom offered the following amendment: 1. Amend page 88, following line 14, by inserting: “Sec. 595. The department shall review all juvenile justice residential facilities that have closed in the previous fiscal year and re-examine department closed facilities. By February 1 of the current fiscal year the department shall submit a report to the report recipients required in section 246 of this part on this review. The report must include, but is not limited to, the reasons for each facility closure, the findings of the re‑examinations of department closed facilities, and potential for, or status of, any of the closed facilities re‑opening.”. The question being on the adoption of the amendment, Senator Lauwers requested the yeas and nays. The yeas and nays were ordered, 1/5 of the members present voting therefor.
