Amend page 21, following line 9, by inserting: “Sec. 224. No appropriations in part 1 may be expended on, or obligated to, economic development projects that involve or include a business entity supportive of the Chinese communist party as reflected in that business entity’s bylaws or articles of incorporation.”. The question being on the adoption of the amendment, Senator Lauwers requested the yeas and nays. The yeas and nays were ordered, 1/5 of the members present voting therefor.
