- (b) Living expenses, including, but not limited to, housing costs, health care costs, and transportation costs. (c) Childcare costs for a dependent of the student teacher. (d) Any other costs associated with student teaching, as determined by the department of treasury. (5) Notwithstanding section 17b, the department of treasury shall make payments under this section on a schedule determined by the department of treasury. (6) As used in this section, “eligible educator preparation program” means an institution of higher education that meets all of the following: (a) Is a public or private institution of higher education in this state. (b) Has an established school of education with an educator preparation program approved by the department. (c) Has not increased tuition and fee rates above the limitations described in section 265.” and adjusting the totals in section 11 and enacting section 1 accordingly.
