Not Voting—0 In The Chair: President Senator Singh moved that the bill be given immediate effect. The motion prevailed, 2/3 of the members serving voting therefor. Pursuant to Joint Rule 20, the full title of the act shall be inserted to read as follows: “An act to revise, consolidate, and classify the laws relating to the organization and regulation of certain nonprofit corporations; to prescribe their duties, rights, powers, immunities, and liabilities; to provide for the authorization of foreign nonprofit corporations within this state; to impose certain duties on certain state departments; to prescribe fees; to prescribe penalties for violations of this act; and to repeal certain acts and parts of acts,” The Senate agreed to the full title. The following bill was read a third time: House Bill No. 4997, entitled A bill to amend 1972 PA 284, entitled “Business corporation act,” by amending section 1060 (MCL 450.2060), as amended by 2019 PA 68.
